As we look ahead to October 2019, consumers are reminded once again that while mortgage rates have been at historic lows, they could jump at any time. As a matter of fact, we saw a sudden spike in rates in September when the average for a 30-year fixed rose to 3.73% from 3.49%.

In October, factors such as trade wars, looming recession, and trade wars will all play a part in where rates will go. Rates are predicted to remain relatively low in October, but it definitely seems that if you’re looking to buy a property, the sooner the better.
